The problem is related to poor wifi signal. When the smart product cannot detect its wifi network, it goes offline. It should come back online on its own. Normally, you should not reset them. You may need to consider extenders and boosters.
Note: Having multiple hotspots does not make for a stronger signal. Smart products may be too far away from the original router. Either it is too far away or there are too many obstacles blocking the signal, such as walls and floors. For example, put the router in the garage or basement and the device installation on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
It doesn’t make the product faulty. You can still use it through TUYA or Smart life app, and it works perfectly.
No, no hub or gateway is required because all Smart Home products support a WiFi communication protocol. All Smart Home product are controlled with TUYA Smart Home Application through a WiFi network. No need for a Hub or gateway.
Zigbee devices must have a gateway to control. The Zigbee protocol and Wi-Fi protocol are different. Just like you need a wireless router to create a Wi-Fi network, you also need a hub to set up and control a Zigbee network. The hub coordinates the system, and each device also acts as a node to create a mesh network of devices.
Connect to Smartthings :
EZ Mode is used when you wish to connect your device directly to your wi-fi network / router. Connecting your device to your wi-fi router using AP Mode: In this mode, the device you are connecting adds and access point to your mobile.
AP mode is a secondary setup process in which the device’s indicator light flashes slowly and requires multiple steps to pair. Follow the on-screen instructions step by step.
Incompatible settings on your home’s router or access point may cause your smart bulb to fail to connect to Wi-Fi.
If you can’t connect using EZ mode and AP mode, you can create a Wi-Fi hotspot with your phone to update the bulb’s firmware and pair it with a Bluetooth connection (via scan mode).
Step 1:
Turn on “Personal Hotspot” on your smartphone.
Step 2:
Connect your other device to your smartphone’s hotspot and login in TUYA Smart app.
Step 3.
Click the “Add Device” button or the “+” icon located in the top right corner of the home page to select the device type.
Step 4:
Setup the Wi-Fi configuration using your smartphone’s hotspot and ensure you are in EZ Mode.
Step 5:
Connect using EZ Mode with your mobile hotspot’s data.
Step 6:
Once connected, you can control the device now.
Most routers now have “dual-band” WiFi. this means they have both 2.4G and 5G WiFi bands. Sometimes they are in the same SSID (SSID = network name), sometimes they are your WIFI router device name or router device name_5G. We will briefly inform you how to identify.

How to check if you are using an iOS device such as an iPhone or iPad:
How to check if you are using an Android phone or a tablet:
If you have an Android phone, you can clearly confirm whether the network is 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
How to check using Windows 10 PC:
How to check with your Apple computer:
Noted: If you have issues with any of these methods, you can always call your WiFi provider and ask them if your router has a 2.4GHz network. Sometimes on modern routers there is just 1 network that is a combined 2.4GHz and 5GHz network, but this can be a problem for device that only work on a 2.4GHz network. Your WiFi provider will be able to tell you this and they should be able separate your router into both a 2.4GHz and 5GHz network. This way you can pick which network any of your devices connect to. 5GHz is much faster, so your TV, Computer, Tablets and Phones would probably work best on that, but that kind of network does not spread over a wide area. The 2.4GHz network is a little bit slower, but it penetrates walls and floors better and spreads farther than a 5GHz network so it works well for devices anywhere in your entire house and is great for smart devices,
